Welcome to Simply Felting!

 

My name is Laura, and I'm the proud owner and operator of this

little slice of felting heaven. I started this journey back in 2018,

when my mother-in-law introduced me to the wonderful world of

fibre art. I was instantly hooked, and I've been felting up a storm

ever since!

 

I am based in Nottingham, and when I'm not busy creating

beautiful pieces, I'm a wife and mother to two children.

 

Felting is a passion of mine and there's nothing I love more

than the endless possibilities that come with this therapeutic craft.

The magic of starting with nothing and turning it into something

spectacular never gets old for me. I have a background in graphic

design, which has been a huge asset in my felting journey. My eye for colour and composition has helped me create unique pieces. I've even had the opportunity to work with major players in the entertainment industry - including Disney! I was responsible for recreating Jiminy Cricket for Disney's TikTok Page which was a truly thrilling experience! See the video. I'm constantly inspired by traditional techniques, but I also love finding new and innovative ways to incorporate them into my work.
